In collaboration with my colleagues Dr. David Black (Principal Investigator), Dr. Stephen Brown and Dr. Liam Swiss, we are conducting a 5-year project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) to analyse Canadian international development cooperation, with a particular focus on the role of ‘partnership’ with so-called developing countries, with civil society organizations, and with the private sector. My role in this project focuses on the involvement of Canadian private philanthropic foundations in supporting international development.
